Dear Mindful Folk

The World is getting ready to wish each other a ‘Happy New Year’ and some will be creating a new list of Resolutions. Personally, I much prefer my ritual of the last 20 years which has been to choose a Word of The Year to focus on, when at times, all focus may be lost. I’ve written a little about it on my website and if you have any queries or thoughts, or would like to share your word or find out what mine is, please let me know.

I like to think of our actual New Year starting at the Winter Solstice in December, once the days grow longer, or, once the earth comes to life again, during the Spring Equinox in late March - both times seem more natural than January 1st, a date which, for me, lacks seasonal significance. Whenever and however you choose to celebrate yours, I hope that it will be everything you wish it to be.
